a person standing barefoot in the grass, conjuring recollections, experiencing memory.
an old chair a person can curl up in, connotations of comfort and conversation.
a body and space both interior and exterior.
the cupped hands of a person, holding something to share and protect.
expressing the place between, revealing and holding secret.
details that change with repetition.
This place between revealing and holding secret is what I’m interested in; I’m interested in its intangibility. Something we know to be true and yet it maintains elements of fabulation when expressed in words. Even when it is divulged to the most intimate confidant it remains unreal, like a dream, like it isn’t ours. And this place between, changes with time. I’m after what we experience and cannot express; evidence of memory, evidence of existence, evidence of experience.
